The virtual Concert for Christmas Day features St. Stephen's very own Andrew Tyson and Nicolas Kitchen. Andrew Tyson opens this week’s virtual concert with a sparkling performance of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 at the 2013 Queen Elisabeth Competition. The concert continues with the Borromeo Quartet Quartet presenting two of Beethoven’s string quartets, the Op. 18, No. 3 quartet and the third Razumovsky quartet, Op. 59, No. 3. This was offered as Beethoven Experience V by the Heifitz Institute beginning with illuminating remarks by Nicholas Kitchen. Finally, the Quartet presents a charming rendition of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” set for string quartet by Nicolas Kitchen.
