This week’s virtual concert is an all Bach program featuring violinist Nicholas Kitchen and the Borromeo String Quartet. The quartet performs the first four Preludes and Fugues from Book I of The Well-Tempered Clavier as arranged by Nicholas. Next, Nicholas and four students of the Heifetz International Music Institute play an arrangement of the Cantata BWV 29, titled Sinfonia BWV 29. The concert ends with Nicholas performing Bach’s monumental Chaconne (part 1) and in a two part recording at the Library of Congress.
