This week and next our virtual concerts feature the Borromeo String Quartet performing works of Beethoven. From Heifetz Rubato: The Virtual Concert Hall comes this week’s concert: The Beethoven Experience III: Speaking to God, devoted to Beethoven’s quartets Op. 18, No. 2 and Op. 59, No. 2. Next week will come The Beethoven Experience IV, Speaking to God, devoted to Op. 132. The Borromeos had planned to play these three quartets at St. Stephen’s on March 29, 2020. For reasons well-known to all of you, that didn’t happen.
