This week’s virtual concert features the Borromeo String Quartet in performances of two great pieces of chamber music, Debussy’s String Quartet and the miraculous Octet composed in 1825 by Mendelssohn who was then only 16 years old. Both performances took place in 2017 during the six week summer program of the Heifetz International Music Institute, held on the campus of Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA.
