On the Sunday before last, the Borromeo String Quartet was scheduled to present a wonderful all Beethoven concert at St. Stephen’s. Naturally, the concert has to be postponed and the same is true of Henry Kramer’s piano recital scheduled on April 26. If we are lucky, both concerts will take place before we are hit by a new wave of the pandemic. We will keep you posted. (Fortunately, the church is air conditioned, so that summer concerts are possible.) To salve the disappointment of not hearing the Borromeo in live performance last Sunday, we offer the following link to their performance at St. Stephen’s of Bach’s “Goldberg Variations”, arranged for string quartet by Nicholas Kitchen.
